My son Matthew has a never quit attitude. Most often times he is the one in the room encouraging everyone else around him not to give up. He spent 5 years in the Daleville high school Pride of the South Band and Jazz Band obtaining a place in numerous university honor bands, district and Allstate. All the while he has also done volunteer work and participated in the high school drama club even earning one of the lead parts in this year's play. Through every adversity we have ever had as a family, Matt has remained a steadfast rock for all of us and has always been an excellent sibling to his younger brother and baby sister (who just graduated kindergarten) He has maintained his grades with his rigorous schedule and earned a GPA well above 4.0 and will be graduating our High School's Valedictorian. He has received numerous scholarships and recently was named the worldwide winner of the Army and Airforce Exchange Service AREA Marilyn Iverson Scholarship for 2016 and I could not be any more proud of this young man.
