The best advice my dad has given me empowered me to become the woman I am today. Throughout my turbulent teenage years, whenever I had a problem at school, with relationships, etc, my dad would sit next to me, flip through a newspaper and just listen. When I was done talking, he would sit there quietly for a minute, and then say, "Just do what you feel is the right thing to do. You will know." The faith he had in me still carries me as I raise my own children.
