My favorite memory of my mother is...
My mother was French and her family was very special to her. When I was 18 she took me to France to meet everyone - my cousins, aunts, uncles, and my grandmother whose name I was given. We traveled back 5 more times over the years before her passing. She always would tell me 'Life is short. Be happy!' to lift my spirits, and she was always loved by those around her because she was so giving and lively.
