Walter (Wally) Giambastiani

Walter Aldo Giambastiani, lovingly known as Wally by his friends and family, age 66, died peacefully at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington on August 26, 2016.  He was born on July 22, 1950 to Victor Giambastiani and Virginia Redmond in Culver City, California.

A loving and devoted father, caring brother, excellent golfer and the kind of friend everyone wanted to have, Wally was always smiling, cracking corny jokes, and doing everything he could for his family.  He made a successful career in sales in the flooring industry and always worked hard to provide for those he loved.  Wally was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Dalton, GA, where he attended with his family while residing in Georgia.  He loved his daughters and church family with all his heart.

Wally is survived by his sister, Beth Sprung, his two daughters, Lauren Giambastiani and Shannon Cohen, his grand-cat, Murphy, and his two grand-dogs, Nyra and Thor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Giambastiani and Virginia Redmond and his brother, Louie Giambastiani.

A memorial service will be held in Wally's honor on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Lutheran Church located at 623 S Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA, with the Rev. John Rossing officiating.

Wally was a wonderful man, loved his family and would do anything for them. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. He will be greatly missed. God's speed my friend.
